Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima'
This compact cultivar grows to only 3-4 ft. tall, making it the ideal miscanthus variety for smaller spaces. It resembles a dwarf 'Gracillimus' with fine foliage and coppery flowers that rise just above the leaves in early fall. It turns a tawny color in winter and remains ornamental until spring.
