Dahlia Specialty Types
This is an exciting new class of Dahlias coming out of the old low growing anemone type. The flowers are as large as the Giant Decorative and in a few varieties almost as big as Dinner Plate Dahlias. Hardy in zones 8-11; elsewhere dig and store in frost-free areas.
Also another great new Dahlia group the "true" ball Dahlias all produce very large flowers are uniform in height and flower shape and have strong, thick stems. They make superior cut flowers, lasting up to 5 days when freshly cut. All varieties grow up to 40" tall and due to their strong stems can handle quite a bit of wind. Hardy zones 8-11; elsewhere dig in fall and store in a frost free area.
