Organic acids found in Structure are HUMUS based organics that

Improve CEC (the soils inherent capacity to store and exchange nutrients.
Prevent the loss of Nitrogen (N) due to leaching
Prevent the loss of available of Phosphorous (P) due to mineralization
Stimulate Plant Nutrient Uptake

Structure improves the soils capacity to make nutrients available to the plant. Nitrogen loss due to leaching (washing away in ground water) is reduced because the Nitrogen in Structure is chemically bound to stable organic acids. This complex becomes a part of the Soil/Root matrix and is therefore removed from the free water in the soil.

The phosphorous in Structure is protected from rapid the mineralization. Conventional phosphorous fertilizers undergo a rapid and complete chemical reaction with soil minerals. These reactions makes the phosphorous available to the plant in only trace amounts. The phosphorous in Structure is lightly bonded to the Organic Acids using a patented manufacturing process. This unique chemistry helps to prevent the “P” from becoming bound to other soil minerals.

Aside or along with the beneficial affect of preventing nutrient loss and or mineralization, the orgainc acids in Structure actually stimulate the plant nutrient uptake, root development and vigor. The organic acids found in Structure are chemically very similar to many important plant chemicals. These organic acids are believed to enter the natural growth and development pathways within the plant. Apparently, the organic acids enhance or stimulate the growth and development of the plant.

When applied to seedlings, Structure improves the uptake of Phosphorous and Zinc. This nutrient boost ensures rapid and vigorous of root development even in cold soils. The result is less transplant shock, quicker recovery and growth and a vigorous plant that is more able to endure environmental or pathogen stresses.
