Black Jade Miniature Rose
While many web sites promote this rose as being "very close in color to black" I would not buy it with that expectation coming true. Black Jade has beautiful dark rich red flowers of
35 petals and no fragrance are typically born in clusters of 5 to 10. Flowers
are on an upright, vigorous bush with dark, semi-glossy foliage and a fairly
rapid repeat bloom cycle. When the bloom is fully open, it sports very
attractive bright golden yellow stamens, which contrast with the very dark red
petals. As an exhibition rose, the florets have a very good form, and the color
is so dark that some show judges have taken to using a flashlight to shine into
the bloom center to properly observe the actual form (that's dark). Zones 4-11.
