Resist II

Resist II is a fertilizer that is derived from phosphorous acid and potassium hydroxide. This combination is intended to stimulate early growth, root development and resistance to disease.

Actagro has a patent pending on the process of combining these raw materials with organic acids and their use as a fungicidal compound. Field trials are underway to measure the effect on certain fungi such as Downy Mildew, Phytophthora and basic ice-nucleating bacteria. Actagro sponsored trials continue on lettuce, citrus, tomatoes, almonds and cherries.

Organic phosphorous compounds with fungicidal properties and with fertilizer capabilities are not new, but none of the existing compounds contain the carbon molecular characteristics found in organic acids derived from leonardite.
