Champlain Rose

Champlain has more blossoms than foliage for most of the summer. Its blossoms have a semi-double shape and a velvety dark-red color with a slight fragrance. The blossoms appear in clusters all summer until frost. Once it's full grown, it's hardly ever without blossoms during the summer. The foliage is healthy when grown in full sun and the plant grows up to 3-feet tall and wide. The canes usually dieback to the snowline for us in northern Zone 4, but vigorously re-grows each spring.
